Important To Do - Intent to Swim Divisionals/C&Cs
Hello Hurricane Parents
Please indicate if your swimmer(s) will be attending Divisionals and/or Championships/Classics. Doing this is very similar to registering your swimmer for weekly meets. To do this, please do the following:
- Htcchurricanes.swimtopia.com
- Click on “intent to Swim Championships & Classics on homepage.
- Find the event – “intent to Swim C& Cs and click ‘meet entry’.
- Click “edit” under your swimmer’s name(s).
- Check the box for Divisionals and/or C&Cs if they are available to swim. If your swimmer will only be available for Divisionals, then only check the Divisional box. If they are available to swim both weekends, then check all 3 boxes. If you enter “No” then no other actions is needed except to “save” but if you enter “Yes” you must indicate if they are going to Championships or Classics or both.
- Click "save".
*Please note – C&Cs is by qualification only. Your swimmer MUST swim Divisionals in order to qualify for C&Cs. Your swimmer will find out if they have ‘made C&Cs” at our Swim Banquet on July 14th.
**If you select that your swimmer is available for C&Cs and your swimmer qualifies, then your swimmer MUST show up. Otherwise, your swimmer will receive a $50 fee per event if they do not show up for their event at C&Cs.
Information regarding Divisionals and Championships/Classics.
Divisionals are Friday July 12thand Saturday July 13th at Greenville Country Club. Friday night is for 11 & Ups, and Saturday morning is for 10 & Unders.
Divisionals is where the swimmer swims the only meet times that are used to qualify your swimmer into Championships and Classics.
Championships & Classics are Saturday July 20thand Sunday July 21st at Westside Aquatics Center. Attendance is invitation only and is by qualification at Divisional. However we need to know if your swimmer will be available to attend if they qualify. The top 17-40 swimmers in all events qualify for Championships and the top 16 swimmers in all events qualify for Classics. Except for Relays where only the top 16 go. Places 9-16 to Championships and places 1-8 go to Classics.

Each
child has the opportunity to earn this award. To qualify, each swimmer
must correctly swim each of the 6 meet events (swimmers age 8 &
under need complete only 5 events):

sticker poster by the pool will help the kids to keep track of which
strokes they have completed towards their Iron Man and Iron Chick goals.
At the end of the year each child who accomplishes their goal will be
awarded a special prize at the July season ending party.
