Weekly Newsletter - May 6th

Hurricanes!

The time is finally here!  We are super excited that practice begins tomorrow!  It is Dryland Practice and will be held on the field beside the pool.  It begins at 4:45pm and ends at 6:00 pm.  ALL SWIMMERS should wear tennis shoes, athletic clothing (think PE clothes), and bring a towel and Water Bottle.  Guppies should bring a light snack as well.

We are planning for the Kickoff Party/Pool Cleanup on Tuesday evening during practice and serving dinner at 6;00pm.  We will use the current RSVPs from today - however, if you CANNOT attend, please let us know by replying to this email.  We need a headcount for food ordering.

See the attached Newsletter of the week.  We will be sending these weekly throughout the swim season.  The newsletter and the website are your best bets for finding information you need.  Always feel free to ask!

Best,

Lori & Paige

Each child has the opportunity to earn this award. To qualify, each swimmer must correctly swim each of the 6 meet events (swimmers age 8 & under need complete only 5 events):

  • Short freestyle (age 10 & under, 25 meters; 11 & older, 50 meters)
  • Long freestyle (age 10 & under, 50 meters; 11 & older, 100 meters)
  • Breast Stroke
  • Back Stroke
  • Butterfly
  • Individual Medley (butterfly, back, breast, free)

A sticker poster by the pool will help the kids to keep track of which strokes they have completed towards their Iron Man and Iron Chick goals. At the end of the year each child who accomplishes their goal will be awarded a special prize at the July season ending party.
